Always on the lookout for old documents or manuscriptsI came across these beautifully laid out pages, tantalizing
or piquing my interest ... sure going to peruse them in more depth yet. http://bestiary.ca/index.html

A codex is a book. It's that simple. A pile of pages,
generally written on both sides, held together by a binding.
What else could there possibly be to say? Mmmmmmm

Played with Elements today
(more ways than one) I might add!
Managed what some may call simple
task or be unimpressed - to me
It was the bees knees!!
Amazingly there appears a figure in the centre??
Sorry ... back to writing and sound and communication .....
History of writing
Language existed long before writing, emerging probably simultaneously with sapience, abstract thought and the man on the street. In my opinion, the signature event that separated the emergence of ancient human genome from their anthropoid progenitors was not tool-making but a rudimentary oral communication that replaced the hoots and gestures still used by my fellow friends. The transfer of more complex information, ideas and concepts from one individual to another, or to a group, was the single most advantageous evolutionary adaptation for species preservation. As long ago when humans were painting pictures on cave walls. Whether these pictures were telling a "story" or represented some type of "spirit house" or ritual exercise is not known. I reserve any further opinions at this time ....... I simply adore beautiful written words.
Words that ring true in my ear and bring a heart felt quiver run through my being, jingling a bell somewhere deep within, rapturing an echo of a distant longing, winging across my path.
